Midnight Sun
The south wind is blowing, up north in the land of the midnight sun. An old man calls
out, 'When I was young, this was a good place. The land of the ice. An ancient world.
An old way of life. What's wrong with that?'
But he knows what's wrong. For a warm wind is blowing up north, in the land of the
midnight sun.
Midnight Sun gained a Second Place Tie in a competition themed on the topic 'Rising
Temperatures in the Artic' and was published online in Sol Magazine, Autumn 2006.
