China's prosperous urban middle class has an enthusiasm for second homes. This Five Star development is in the Hot Springs Valley, a fast developing tourist area near Anning, some 40 minutes drive from Kunming the Provincial capital of Yunnan.
In June 2009, Kunming was the venue for the Second South Asian Countries Commodity Fair. Like so much in China, this was staged on a grand scale and we only managed to get around some of what was on show across the six halls.
