Now resident in the Far East with homes in two rather special places: the east Malaysian state of Sarawak on the beautiful, tropical island of Borneo and Yunnan, a frontier province faraway in the southwest of China.
Main career activities were first in the UK construction industry and later as a college and university lecturer progressing to various management roles in a major Scottish College.
Though no longer professionally active, Colin is qualified as a Chartered Builder, a Chartered Quantity Surveyor, and a Chartered Quality Professional. Career highpoints have included a Masters Degree in Construction Management and professional body service as Chair Scottish Branch Chartered Institute of Building, Chair Scottish Branch Architects and Surveyors Institute, and then President of the Architects and Surveyors Institute. Eventual UK post was Head of Quality Assurance at Glasgow College of Building and Printing.
Over the years, publications have included professional and academic articles, a weekly column, and more besides in the sensible world of non-fiction. Today, it's all fun with short stories, flash fiction, and poetry.
